Outside Reading Book Blog #1: The Giver
In the first chapter we learn many things about the community in which the story takes place. For example, Jonas, the main character, says that everyone in the community has a specific job like there are women who breed and after breeding their third child they are given another job. Also they take hormone pills to lower their ecitement towards the opposite couple so they can control the population. Every night at dinner the family sits around and have what the community calls "Feeling Time." So far, this community seems really wird in many ways.

You're right Bryan. This community does seem pretty weird. I'm going to be reading the Giver in a couple of weeks for one of my classes. I hope I like it. I've heard that it is supposed to be pretty good.
i have heard from people that it is really wierd but it sounds like sometihing i would like
Well so far I has been weird. There are many things that are going around in which I don't understand why these things are happening. I bet you will like these story.
